Ian McKinnon is a self-taught photographer. He started taking pictures in the mid-1970s using an old Zenit
colour EM camera. He then progressed to a Minolta.
In 2002 he got his first digital camera, a Nikon D200 and photography began to take over his life. His subjects, at the moment, are mainly landscape and architecture with some portrait work
He had an exhibition at Newcastle Artworks Gallery
in February and
March of 2008.
